Food Donation
Amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, numerous marginalized families experienced profound suffering, grappling with hunger and stress. In response, we devised a strategy to provide support by distributing food supplies, thereby aiding these families in overcoming some of the adversities they encountered. Extending assistance to vulnerable families with the resources at our disposal is a source of immense joy for us. It echoes the biblical principle of loving one’s neighbor as oneself, exemplifying the expression of love and care for the less fortunate in the spirit of God.
Sports for Change and Development
Sports serves as a powerful instrument fostering social inclusion and unity among young people, contributing significantly to the improvement of physical and mental health, irrespective of age or gender. At (ICF), we actively advocate for children’s rights, including their right to engage in prayer. Our organization orchestrates games with the explicit goal of promoting gender equality among all children and ensuring the equitable distribution of rights at every level.
Supporting children with scholastic materials
At IShimwe Children Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the tools to succeed in school. Through this program, we provide essential scholastic materials such as books, pens, school uniforms, bags, and other learning supplies to children from vulnerable families. This support not only boosts school attendance and performance but also restores hope and dignity, allowing children to focus on learning and building a brighter future
Supporting children with disabilities
At Ishimwe Children Foundation, we firmly embrace the belief that disability should never be equated with inability. Our foundation is dedicated to supporting children with disabilities, recognizing that they are often overlooked despite their potential to excel with proper assistance. We view these children as capable individuals who, with the right support, can achieve remarkable feats.
Spiritual Growth & Discipleship Program
At iShimwe Children Foundation, we are dedicated to nurturing the spiritual lives of young people. Through regular gatherings and mentorship sessions, we create safe spaces where children and youth can learn about the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ. These meetings are opportunities to share God’s Word, reflect on His goodness, and encourage one another in faith. We believe that discipling young hearts not only strengthens their personal relationship with God but also empowers them to be ambassadors of His kingdom in their communities.
